A Little holiday cheer . . .

As I get closer to Christmas and Hanukah and the beginning of a new year, I reflect on the past year. A year that saw immeasurable happiness with my niece getting married and profound sadness in the loss of my beautiful Little one week later. The highest of highs followed by the lowest of lows.

I am going to put up my Christmas tree this weekend and I am already saddened by the fact that Little won't be under it this year. He loved to sit under the lights. He never messed with the ornaments or tried to take the tree down - he would just sit in the glow. I miss him every single day but I am so grateful that I even got the opportunity to love him for his entire life and to be his hooman.

So as you gather around the tree or light the candles on the Menorah, remember the Little things . . . remember all the Little things that made you happy, made you sad, brought you joy or brought you tears. Because it's the Little things that make you stronger.

Happy holidays everyone.

Peace and paws,

Little's mom
